Holiday shopping
Hey guys, so everyone knows that I've started my new business as an independant arbonne consultant.

Wanted to say thank you to people who have hosted or attended a party for me.
If anyone else would like to, please contact me.

I'm trying to figure out another day for an open house... but when I come back from SC It'll be halloween, so it may be nov before I do. Possibly next week when I get back from Erie... will keep you all posted.

I do have my new site SarahJoy.myarbonne.com

If anyone is interested in holiday shopping, if you go through my site, I get credit. If you go through the main arbonne site, you need a consultant id anyway. Mine is 17830427.

There are special holiday products, as well as aromatherapy some of the aromatherapy items are only offered during the holiday shopping season, including mini's- stocking sized lotions), make up, skincare. All vegan-certified, all Pure. Safe. Beneficial.
This month there are also 2 internet specials. One is for getting better if you are sick dietary supplament, but the big one is for the holiday fyi set for your ideal. I have it, its super cute, it all smells good. For those of you at the bridal shower party, it is not the one I had with me, I just got it. Its the one with the three circular containers. The internet special is that its 20% off.

Also, just putting it out there.... if anyone wants to get me something but is unsure..... money's good, or I can give you a list of things I need from arbonne. I know that sounds weird but if you go through my site, I get the credit and there are a lot of things I want to have available to show people/use for myself but can't afford to get right now.

In conjunction with this email if anyone wants to let me know what they want for holidays, birthdays, weddings, feel free to email me or post here. Granted, whenever possible it will be arbonne as I'm not making very much money right now so when I can, 'm going where I'll at least get credit for it. Sorry... if not I'll try to figure it out ;)

Thanks everyone

Wedding season update

For my friends, it seems that it is wedding season...

We attended one on Saturday....... Was so nice. Nice sweet ceremony followed by a fantastic reception that was a lot of fun. asdr83  looked Amazing. So so pretty, and C was super handsome. The bridesmaids so pretty.... just so much pretty everywhere. lso good music, great company, gorgeous weather, great chapel. Goes on and on and on.... congratulations to them.

The nextday, yesterday, Sunday was the bridal shower for our next wedding, the 3rd of oct. Lots of fun. My friends being supportive allowed me to do my arbonne thang (SarahJoy.myarbonne.com) so we planned the bride's makeup (which I'll be doing because I'm awesome and so is she), and got to try the practice cake courtesy of our host, faye_noire , and of course, my favorite part of any arbonne night, petrify a graham cracker. Yay! So... I did well, got some information from bride's sister about an awesome temp agency (actually, got awesome information about another one on saturday, thanks kararm ), sold some makeup, and... dah dah dah dah.... got a consultant! yay, thanks K. (this was the option that worked out best for both of us thank you very much all of you who are thinking differently....)

and of course.... another one coming week after that so...

Wanted to thank everyone for being so supportive, both sunday and this upcoming weekend.

In addition: I was thinking of having an open house for my arbonne stuff this week or next either at the bf's apt or the bffs apt (since i really live part time at both while in MA)..... any ideas? Any one able to come if I do or should I wait until later? Mostly I was planning make up and holiday stuff but I'm getting more as we speak so..... if anyone does, or wants to do a one on one or host just email or call me with good days/times. Thanks!

yet another update
Finished big round of thank you cards that were waaaaaaaaaaaaaay overdue.
Have a website!!! http://sarahjoy.myarbonne.com/
Have a party on Sunday I'm suuper excited to host! And one next weekend, suuper excited about that too!
I'm doing better organizationally and feeling a bit better.

Everything all set to have Taurus registered but my sis may need to do it for me. If not, I'll do tomorrow am. If I find my birth certificate, I'll get my licensece tomorrow am depending on when my flight leaves, but more likely will be done in oct.

Getting a lot of help, Thanks T!

Tomorrow night! yay. We have 3 weddings to attend in 4 weeks and will be in the opposite mode that we have been for our whole relationship. Instead of seeing each other for a weekend or two a month, we will see each other for a month with the exception of two days here (while I'm in CT) and there (while I'm in PA). I'm excited and nervous. Mostly excited.

updating again
So this moving stuff sucks so much. I got to the DMV today after hunting it down only to find out I need my passport or birth certificate. My passport is in MA so I'm hoping my parents have a copy of my birth certificate.... otherwise it'll be oct when I get my SC license. Also can't register the Taurus unless Daddy (who is in Italy) signs the form. This may also have to wait until Oct. grr. arg.

Doing better with Arbonne though. Did have a party postponed until Oct but also had someone else express interest so I think I'm doing ok. Got a very special party on sunday!!! YAY and a couple more this month. Have business cards and this morning got a business checking account. All good. Working on the website..... but all in all, yay for my makeup and skincare being tax deductable.

Went to the mall today. Went to vickies and didn't buy anything. Went by Belks and didn't go in (and they carry enzo angiolini shoes). Did go into Bakers.... but came out with nothing. I'd like to thank  Jess and Megan for that. I sent out text messages to them and Rita and Tim telling me not to buy shoes. They did. (Tim said he couldn't make that claim, Rita said she couldn't lie to me. sweet, very sweet, not good for my willpower). I walked out. I'm so pwoud of me.

So thats me right now, frazzled and nowhere near where I thought I'd be at this point. but still here.

So: anyone with advice/info on temp agencies/substitute teaching? i.e. requirements/how to sign up/where to interview/etc?

I am trying, I promise. I'm just disorganized. I didn't inherit the hyper neat/super organization gene from my mom :(

Still alive. Love you all. In MA Friday night.

Hey look, I'm updating!
Special thanks to my cousin, Tristan and her blog for helping me get here.

So many updates yet so little to say. Unless you want me to gush about my children and how amazing they are and how much I already miss them. Or I can tell you about how I did so much better than expected my first month of arbonne but am worried that I won't be able to keep it up because I'm not pushy enough. That in itself is fine, but then theres the whole, what if I'm wrong about temp agencies and substituting and i wont work as often as i thought?

So yeah, trying not to make this a whiny one but...

I am officially between SC and MA now. Will still visit erie. Will also get to see my kids when they are in NH. I already miss them so much. Leaving yesterday was so so so hard. They also started school yesterday which was exciting.

I launched with arbonne last month and am doing pretty good. Have 3 scheduled parties and one to be scheduled this month. plus one that will be scheduled for this fall so could be this month.... and the holiday stuff is out including minis. And I think you all know how I feel about things that are stocking-stuffer-sized

I am signed up technically with one temp agency but need to call them. and others. and subbing places..... hmmm jess..... advice maybe?
I was lazy today. it didn't happen.

I apologize for my grammar and spelling mistakes.

I have learned to count to 6 in serbian and say eat your noodles in german

I am becoming soooo cultured.

So thats it for me for now.... I'll try to be better about this...

and if you are on myspace, please join my mafia. That is all.

oh oh oh and I learned that I am old enough to be a role model. to an 18 year old girl. Was so sweet to hear. Well, read. I am so lucky to have made friends with Anna, and she has been a huge help for me this month. So, Anna, if you read this, thank you.

Writer's Block--- but no bump in the night

Ok, so I just got my internet installed in my apartment. Its the weekend. I have the time and the ideas but have been super writers blocked.

Things I wanted to write about included trying out the sarah as rpg and fanfic as actually trying them, not just going over logistics. Also wanted to work in alcohol in the rpg and how many rolls it would affect.

Also wanted to write about the special kind of over-honesty that comes with being drunk. Have examples, just can't seem to type them

Help ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Almost did the writer's block idea lj suggests about what are you afraid of.... but all I had were sarcastic answers or more blocking

"it all fell apart way too soon
you trashed my heart like a hotel room"

p.s. does anyone know how to add  <<Edit>> umblauts umlauts can you do that on lj? did I spell that right?

So, we went to Heinz stadium last night for the Nickelback and Bonjovi concert. Also saw Steelers get their rings, which was cool. Cooler for mom, as she loves that stuff and got to see the Pats get their rings one year (and the sox get theirs actually..... lucky lucky woman).

Nickelback was sober this time! So, he didnt talk much, he sang a lot, very well, he sang very many songs, and Timmy, the roadie he yelled at during our last concert with them, got to play along on one of the songs. I think they've redeemed themselves.

Bonjovi was amazing. had 2 or 3 encores, with multiple songs involved in at least 1.....
He's got a giant ego but they were amazing and they're great with the audience :)

I am sunburnt and covered in heat rash though, which sucks cuz I was going to go into work at the center today.... but its getting better and it was worth it :)

Now, Alana gets her own band to play her own theme song. I've always thought that people should have their own theme songs. Like, there should be bad guy music for people you should avoid. And excitement music for days you wake up and don't know it but somethings gonna happen, then you'll be prepared. Just a thought.

My biological alarm clock has no snooze button
But anyway, in honor of the D&D convention that allowed people to come visit me (on their way to such convention) I figured I'd finally post the sarah as rpg entry. Majorly incomplete, would be nice if someone more knowledgable would help me.....

Sarah as RPG
1. Stats
a. resist charm (is that a stat?)
b. stealthy
c. devious
d. plus the others, charisma...... more appropriate ones for pa.......
2. Mods
3. Certs
a. Feather Earrings of Charisma (+2 to charisma)
b. Cleavage of influence (+1 to charisma)
c. alcohol (-1d6 (+2 per additional drink) to resist charm)
d. degree (+2 to find job)
4. feats
a. summon drama???
5. level?

not to mention thanks to andres new formula for drama (what is it again.... the drama of a group is the most dramatic person times the number of people) my drama rating is a 4..... how's that gonna work.
Anyway, if joli or someone wanted to help me out.... I could totally write my next story entry in the form of rpg ;)
thanks everyone.

Train Concert
So last night went to see Train at the Erie Civic Center. Was Amazing! Especially really nice to see them in their (well, at the very least Pat monahan.....) hometown... they were so nice and so appreciative of Erie without making it sound overdone or insincere. They really were just having the best time! And he got his daughter up on stage to dance during one song and he made sure everyone in the band got a moment. A coupla comedians opened, they were funny but left one too long. Train was definately awesome though, and even gave us an extra song compared to other concerts.... :) Definately an amazing birthday present:):)

The Sonnet
Deliberate Gentle Love Dreamer (DGLDf)

Romantic, hopeful, and composed. You are the Sonnet. Get it? Composed?

Sonnets want Love and have high ideals about it. They're conscientious people, caring & careful. You yourself have deep convictions, and you devote a lot of thought to romance and what it should be. This will frighten away most potential mates, but that's okay, because you're very choosy with your affections anyway. You'd absolutely refuse to date someone dumber than you, for instance.

Your exact opposite:
Genghis Khunt

Random Brutal Sex Master
Lovers who share your idealized perspective, or who are at least willing to totally throw themselves into a relationship, will be very, very happy with you. And you with them. You're already selfless and compassionate, and with the right partner, there's no doubt you can be sensual, even adventurously so.

You probably have lots of female friends, and they have a special soft spot for you. Babies do, too, at the tippy-top of their baby skulls.

ALWAYS AVOID: The 5-Night Stand, The False Messiah, The Hornivore, The Last Man on Earth

CONSIDER: The Loverboy

So last night went to see Gretchen Wilson and Big & Rich with Shannon Lawson, James Otto, Jon Nicholson and Cowboy Troy. It was awesome. Gretchen was, as always, amazing. Big & Rich were terrific and full of energy but did talk a lot. Cowboy Troy was fabulous. Jon Nicholson, one of the four Godfathers of Muzic Mafia (the other three being Big, Rich and some other guy I should know names cory something but i don't know.....) Was fantastic. and funny. and twice it was announced that there was a meeting held and Gretchen is now the official Godmother. In addition to her music, she also covered a couple of songs including Barracuda which we thought she did even better than Heart! (she sounds a lot like her when she wants to....)
More later but this one Rocked!

"I don't have to have a girls night out
Or runaround with a rowdy crowd to get down Whiskey bent and hell bound
When I feel like I ain't got a friend I just call on my old buddy Jim
Again and again I like him

When it rains I pour a couple more rounds
Till the hurtin' and the heartache start to drown
I turn out the light I turn up Dwight and I lock my door when it rains, when it rains, I pour"
